Direct Counsel is recruiting for a leading Am Law 100 firm’s Chicago office, where the Corporate Finance Group advises financial institutions, lenders, borrowers, sponsors, and other market participants. The associate works on lending and commercial finance transactions, representing lenders and borrowers through drafting, negotiation, due diligence, and transaction management. The role contributes to the firm’s finance practice through sophisticated transactional work and client engagement.

What you'll do

• Work on asset-based lending, cash flow financing, real estate-secured lending, acquisition and leveraged financing, and commercial credit facilities
• draft and negotiate loan documentation
• conduct due diligence and manage transactions
• handle loan amendments, restructurings, and related financing matters
• represent lenders and borrowers.
