What you'll do

• Manage lead times, purchases, shipment pull-ins, and rescheduling based on forecasts and project requirements
• source, negotiate, and purchase goods
• contribute to sourcing strategies
• review and monitor supplier contracts
• conduct cost-reduction work
• investigate and recommend solutions to complex problems
• support studies and projects for new products and processes
• participate in approved operations planning
• conduct or participate in process studies
• estimate costs for special items and production orders
• determine fabrication methods
• update the specials program.
