The Early Childhood Teaching Assistant role is onsite in Minneapolis, MN, with a Monday–Friday, 40-hour schedule; compensation is $23.00 per hour. The assistant supports Breck School’s early childhood program, including its Reggio Emilia-inspired, nature-based learning approach. Working alongside experienced teachers, the assistant helps plan and deliver instruction, support student learning, and maintain a positive classroom climate. The role also offers mentorship and opportunities to develop instructional skills while contributing to children’s daily learning experiences.

What you'll do

• Assist teachers with planning learning experiences, classroom materials, and instruction
• collaborate on outdoor learning and supervise students
• observe teaching and respond to feedback
• participate in the TA mentorship program
• support learners in small and large groups
• build positive relationships with students
• contribute to a collaborative classroom
• and provide lead-teaching coverage when teachers are absent or coverage is needed.
