Accounts Receivable & Trade Specialist

Job overview

The Accounts Receivable & Trade Specialist role is hybrid, with at least five hours per week in the Watertown, MA office and 20 hours of work per week. Compensation is $30–$35 per hour. The role is part of ButcherBox’s Finance department and supports its expanding retail and other sales channels. The specialist manages accounts receivable activities across multiple channels, from customer onboarding and billing through cash application, reconciliations, and reporting. The work helps ensure customer transactions are accurately established, collected, reconciled, and communicated across the business.

What you'll do

• Manage billing and accounts receivable activities
• onboard customers and coordinate account setup
• maintain customer and item information in the ERP
• process payments and research unapplied cash
• manage retail trade activity, deductions, chargebacks, and claims
• monitor aging and collections
• prepare weekly AR metrics
• perform month-end reconciliations
• analyze budget-to-actual results
• maintain documentation and controls
• support close and audit requests
• identify process improvements.
