Substitute Nutrition Assistant

The Substitute Nutrition Assistant role is onsite in Flandreau, SD. Pay is $13.66–$19.28 per hour. Inter-Lakes Community Action Partnership supports meal services for older adults and children, including congregate meals, Meals on Wheels, and Head Start. The role supports kitchen operations by helping prepare and distribute meals that meet participants' dietary needs and preferences. It helps maintain reliable meal service through food preparation, accurate records, inventory support, and food-safety practices.

What you'll do

• Review and prepare daily menus
• record special food items served for compliance records
• estimate and order food supplies, inventory, and equipment as needed
• step in for the cook as needed
• monitor food temperatures and portion sizes
• follow food safety and sanitation standards
• operate and maintain kitchen equipment
• assist with receiving and storing inventory, including proper dating and storage.
