The Cook role is an onsite position in Aurora, IL, paying $17.25 per hour. The Cook supports the Dietary Department at Pearl of Orchard Valley and is accountable to the Dietary Manager. The Cook prepares and serves meals according to menus, recipes, production counts, and diet orders, while maintaining sanitation and supporting dietary staff operations when the Dietary Manager is absent.

What you'll do

• Prepare and portion hot and cold menu items according to menus, recipes, and production counts
• serve resident meals at the correct times
• record food and equipment temperatures
• interact with residents and facility employees to check satisfaction
• maintain sanitation and a clean, safe work environment
• track inventory and communicate low supplies or place orders
• label, wrap, and date unused food
• and, when the Dietary Manager is absent, support staff oversight, conduct huddles, and address incomplete assignments.
