Mental Health and Brain Injury Technician — Part-Time, Day Shift

Job overview

The Mental Health and Brain Injury Technician role is onsite in Coralville, IA, with AM (7 AM–3 PM) or PM (2 PM–10 PM) eight-hour shifts and every-other-weekend rotation. Pay is $20 per hour. The role supports participants in a residential brain injury rehabilitation facility as they work toward rehabilitation goals and greater independence in their communities. The technician supports and motivates participants as they develop behavioral strategies and address cognitive, physical, medical, behavioral, and psychosocial rehabilitation goals. The work contributes to participants’ ability to pursue meaningful lives in their chosen communities.

What you'll do

• Support and motivate program participants in rehabilitation programming
• help participants develop behavioral compensatory strategies for coping with brain injury and mental health challenges. Employees do not provide personal care.
