What you'll do

• Welcome patients and discuss their dental care plans
• prepare sterilized equipment
• take vital signs and record medical histories
• perform preliminary exams and collect oral health histories
• evaluate for gum disease, cavities, and infection
• remove plaque and apply fluoride treatments
• teach oral hygiene
• create dental impressions and take X-rays
• assist dentists during exams and procedures
• follow health and safety regulations and office policies.
