What you'll do
- Room and intake patients
- collect vital signs and histories
- assist providers with examinations, treatments, and procedures
- collect specimens and perform phlebotomy
- administer medications under provider direction
- perform EKGs, eye exams, and other directed tests
- review records for routine screenings
- maintain exam rooms and instruments
- provide patient instructions
- assist with registration, scheduling, referrals, and clinic communications
- support emergency situations as directed
- and train new medical assistants and externs.
