The maker fabricates and repairs tools, fixtures, and machine parts, performs complex setups and machining operations, and designs jigs and fixtures. This work supports production flow and product quality for internal and external customers.

What you'll do

• Read work instructions and interpret complex tool drawings
• fabricate or repair tools, fixtures, and machine parts
• operate lathes, standard and CNC mills, EDMs, grinders, hones, saws, and CAD/CAM
• maintain material flow through the Tool & Die process
• design and fabricate jigs and fixtures
• use math and machining knowledge to make decisions.
