Mammography Technologist III

The technologist performs screening and diagnostic mammography and supports stereotactic-guided breast biopsies to produce high-quality images for diagnostic accuracy. The role also helps maintain imaging quality and compliance, supports radiologists, and trains or refreshes other technologists on positioning and best practices.

What you'll do

• Perform 2D and 3D mammograms using advanced positioning
• operate stereotactic equipment and support radiologists during biopsies
• teach positioning, workflow, and mammography practices
• confirm exam indications and document symptoms
• set exposure factors and ensure equipment function
• apply radiation protection and follow ACR, FDA, and MQSA requirements
• evaluate images and repeat when necessary
• update exam and billing information
• present studies for comparison
• perform equipment quality control, report malfunctions, manage supplies, maintain exam rooms, and document in EMR/RIS/PACS.
