Job overview
The Senior Attorney, Estate Planning Strategist role is remote, with a strong preference for candidates in Atlanta, GA; New York City; Chicago; or Dallas, and anticipated office attendance one or two days per month. The listed base-pay range is $130,000–$150,000 per year, with eligibility for incentive compensation. Mercer Advisors provides integrated financial planning, investment management, tax, estate, insurance, and related services to families. The attorney supports the Estate Planning team within Wealth Solutions by reviewing and explaining estate plans, advising clients and wealth-management teams, and keeping current with estate, trust, and tax law. The role also contributes to business development and mentors estate-planning strategists.
What you'll do
- Meet with wealth advisors and Wealth Solutions colleagues to review, fund, and maintain estate plans
- summarize existing documents and recommend changes based on law and family circumstances
- answer general estate-planning questions
- serve as an internal resource to wealth-management teams
- monitor estate, trust, and tax legislation
- support presentations, publications, and prospective-client meetings
- mentor strategists
- manage a service specialist if assigned.
