The Armorer role is onsite at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Artesia, NM. Compensation is $27.18–$32.60 per hour, with an additional Health and Welfare benefit described in accordance with applicable Service Contract Act requirements. Oak Grove Technologies supports military, government, and law enforcement through training, consulting, technology, and operational support. The armorer inspects, maintains, repairs, and accounts for firearms and related equipment used in marksmanship training. The work supports the safety and readiness of federal law enforcement personnel and helps ensure weapons and target systems meet required performance and security standards.

What you'll do

• Inspect, test, maintain, and prepare firearms for marksmanship training
• clean, store, and maintain weapons according to technical manuals and regulations
• operate computerized target systems and mechanical target controls
• troubleshoot and repair motors, electronic and communications equipment, and automated target systems
• perform field and bench repairs on weapons and magazines
• maintain computerized inventory of weapons, ammunition, unexploded ordnance, and related materials
• issue, collect, secure, and account for weapons and ammunition
• manage hazardous waste according to applicable training and plans.
