The Chef, School Food Service position is onsite at Union R-XI School District in Union, MO. The role supports safe, sanitary, and consistent school food service through staff coordination, food quality and inventory oversight, and recipe and menu development.

What you'll do

• Supervise, coordinate, and participate in food preparation, cooking, and service
• ensure food handling, sanitation, and customer-service standards
• oversee hourly kitchen associates, including scheduling, training, and counseling
• prepare food according to standardized recipes and service schedules
• maintain food presentation, quality, portion control, and serving temperatures
• track food use and waste, requisition or purchase products, and inspect supplies
• maintain clean equipment and work areas
• help select and develop recipes and menus.
