What you'll do

• Diagnose and repair vehicles to specifications using diagnostic equipment
• tear down, repair, replace, or rebuild faulty assemblies
• rewire ignition systems, lights, and instrument panels
• repair manual and automatic transmissions
• explain diagnoses and required repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
