The Lead Veterinary Technician role is an onsite, full-time position in Roanoke, VA, with pay of $24–$30 per hour depending on experience. This working supervisory role leads and develops the technician and assistant medical team while also performing veterinary technician duties. It supports efficient hospital operations and the delivery of comprehensive care to animal patients.

What you'll do

• Direct on-the-job training
• advise employees on performance and corrective measures
• support appraisals, workflow, onboarding, and staff scheduling
• perform animal restraint, triage, sample collection and analysis, diagnostic imaging, nursing care, medication administration, client communication, surgical assistance, anesthesia monitoring, and dental prophylaxis.
