Direct Support Professional — Third Shift, Part-Time

The Direct Support Professional role is onsite in Rochester, MN, on the third shift from 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., part-time at 20 hours per week. Compensation is $21 per hour, plus a $1.10 per hour differential for hours worked between 10:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. Nexus Family Healing's Southeast Regional Crisis Center supports people experiencing mental health crises across southeast Minnesota. The professional reinforces clients' therapeutic treatment plans through guidance and assistance with daily living and scheduled therapeutic activities. The role supports client safety, treatment goals, and respectful engagement with families and the care team.

What you'll do

• Support clients in following daily schedules, therapy, and appointments
• encourage personal hygiene and clean living spaces
• use therapeutic techniques within boundaries and document interventions
• report safety concerns to supervisors
• lead or assist group sessions and behavior plans
• attend staff meetings
• maintain client safety and confidentiality
• collaborate with families
• welcome clients in crisis and assist with clerical tasks.

Why this role

Candidates must meet Minnesota Mental Health Practitioner criteria, be at least 21, hold a valid driver's license, and pass a DHS criminal background check. A bachelor's degree in human services is preferred. The posting requires willingness to travel for mandatory training and meetings.
