What you'll do

• Provide emotional support before, during, and after procedures
• complete and document pre-operative assessments
• prepare the room and assist the surgical team
• anticipate team needs, perform surgical counts, transport patients, and hand off reports to recovery
• receive patients from the operating room
• assess and document recovery status
• monitor and report condition changes
• review discharge instructions
• support discharge and continuity of care
• follow infection-control and safety precautions.
