The Painter role is onsite in Albuquerque, NM; pay is $18–$23 per hour based on experience. Scott’s Fencing Co. builds gates, iron panels, and steel structures for residential, commercial, and government clients in the Albuquerque area. The painter prepares and coats steel products before shipment or installation, taking responsibility for surface readiness and finished quality. The role also supports yard or shop teams with fabrication and general labor when painting work is unavailable.

What you'll do

• Clean, grind, sand, and degrease steel surfaces
• flag inadequately prepared material
• apply primer and finish coats using spray and electrostatic systems
• maintain booth and equipment
• use shop tools and forklift for preparation
• inspect finished work
• communicate material, equipment, and scheduling issues
• assist yard or shop teams when needed
• follow safety protocols.
