What you'll do

• Prepare, edit, and submit account billing according to payer guidelines
• verify insurance eligibility
• submit required claim documentation and request missing records
• update patient demographics and rebill as needed
• respond to payer and responsible-party inquiries
• research accounts and document follow-up
• resolve discrepancies and prepare adjustments or refunds for approval
• maintain complete billing records and scheduled reports
• alert supervisors to compliance or processing issues.
