The Crematory Operator works onsite in Carmichael, CA, for $18–$24 per hour. The role supports Sierra View Funeral Chapel & Crematory’s work with families through decedent identification, records, procedures, and cremation. The operator assists with crematory operations, maintains accurate records and required forms, helps clean and maintain the facility, prepares accounting reports, and follows safety and legal regulations. The position requires a valid California driver’s license, ability to lift 100 pounds, independent work, customer service, and attention to detail.

What you'll do

• Assist with decedent identification, logging, cremation procedures, and cremations
• maintain records, permits, work orders, identification cards and tags, and release checklists
• help clean and maintain the crematory
• prepare accounting reports
• comply with safety and legal regulations.
