Test Engineer II — Navy Systems Testing

Job overview

The Test Engineer II role is onsite in Middletown, RI, with mostly regular business hours; occasional shift work, overtime, and travel may be required. Annual base salary is $95,000–$110,000. The team tests, evaluates, and verifies systems, including Navy submarine combat or training systems. The engineer validates system requirements and technical specifications through test planning and execution, documents results and defects, and works with engineering teams to investigate issues. This work supports system verification and evaluation while helping ensure functional and technical standards are met.

What you'll do

• Analyze requirements and technical documentation to develop verification methods
• develop and maintain test procedures and cases
• execute system verification and validation, including testing corrective changes
• participate in test events and demonstrations
• identify and document software, firmware, and hardware defects
• troubleshoot with engineering teams
• configure and maintain test laboratory environments
• test computer and network equipment
• document results and communicate status, issues, and risks
• travel as needed for customer, laboratory, and testing activities.
