The Engagement Specialist — First Shift, Tuesday–Saturday role is onsite in Champaign, IL, at Rosecrance Walnut. Starting pay is $19.88 per hour for a high school diploma or GED, $20.82 for an associate’s degree, or $21.70 for a bachelor’s degree. Rosecrance provides behavioral health services focused on recovery from substance use and mental health challenges. The specialist conducts outreach and engagement, supports mobile crisis response, and connects people with resources and services. The role contributes lived-experience-informed perspectives to crisis solutions and works collaboratively with the clinical team.

What you'll do

• Provide mobile crisis response when dispatched
• build trust with people hesitant to engage with behavioral health professionals or first responders
• participate in designing, implementing, and evaluating crisis solutions
• provide behavioral interventions, advocacy, resources, and referrals
• follow up with clients or families
• complete documentation
• attend team meetings and training
• transport clients to Rosecrance buildings or hospitals as needed.
