Senior Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) Technician

The Senior Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) Technician role is based onsite in Midland, TX, with regional travel to field sites. Pay is $30–$40 per hour based on experience. The position supports leak detection and emissions surveys at oil and gas facilities. The technician performs and oversees surveys, identifies and documents gas leaks, and communicates findings to clients and management. The role also checks and maintains equipment, verifies repairs, and completes survey documentation in accordance with safety, site, and regulatory requirements.

What you'll do

• Lead or oversee field test teams conducting fugitive-emissions monitoring
• perform OGI surveys using infrared cameras and gas-monitoring equipment
• identify, document, and report leaks using digital reporting platforms
• communicate findings to clients and management
• perform and oversee equipment checks, calibration, and routine maintenance
• verify and document successful leak repairs
• complete and close out surveys
• follow safety, site, and regulatory requirements.
