Assistant Project Manager

Job overview

The Assistant Project Manager role is onsite in Itasca, IL, with an annual salary range of $70,000–$110,000. The assistant project manager supports project leaders throughout the construction lifecycle, coordinating schedules, subcontractors, documentation, costs, and field activity. This work helps projects progress safely, meet requirements, and stay aligned with budget, quality, and client expectations.

What you'll do

• Assist the Project Manager from preconstruction through closeout
• support day-to-day construction operations, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and permitting
• review plans, specifications, and shop drawings
• track materials, contracts, change orders, RFIs, and project documents
• support budgets, cost forecasts, bids, procurement, billing, and reporting
• visit sites to monitor quality, progress, and safety
• participate in meetings and track action items
• support punch lists and closeout packages.
