Purchasing Agent

Job overview

The Purchasing Agent role is onsite at one of the listed reporting locations: Atlanta, GA; Birmingham, AL; Charlotte, NC; Tampa, FL; or Nashville, TN. Compensation is $20–$25 per hour. The Building People’s position serves customer needs by placing Government orders against established contracts and other Government sources of supply. The role carries out pre-award and post-award purchasing actions at or below the Simplified Acquisition Threshold. It supports compliant acquisition of supplies, services, and construction by applying purchasing procedures, evaluating prices, and maintaining required documentation under applicable regulations and agency policies.

What you'll do

• Place Government orders against established contracts and other Government sources
• perform pre-award and post-award contracting actions
• use purchasing procedures to acquire supplies, services, and construction
• apply relevant regulations and procedures
• evaluate price reasonableness using established references.
