Facilities and EHS Technician

Job overview

The Facilities and EHS Technician role is onsite in Newark, NY, with hourly compensation of $24–$30 per hour. The position supports plant facilities and equipment upkeep and environmental, health, and safety activities in collaboration with the Production & Facilities Manager. The technician maintains and repairs facility and manufacturing equipment, coordinates maintenance and improvement work, and helps ensure operational readiness. The role also supports EHS compliance, environmental permits and plans, waste reduction, recycling, inspections, and emergency-response corrective actions.

What you'll do

• Coordinate facilities and production maintenance with contractors
• perform skilled maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment
• maintain grounds and roadways
• support preventive maintenance and capital improvement projects
• maintain supplies, tools, and safety equipment
• prepare project scopes and reports
• use building automation, fire control, alarm, and access systems
• support EHS training, inspections, compliance requirements, environmental permits and plans, waste reduction and recycling initiatives, and corrective actions.
