What you'll do

• Screen cases and determine appropriate charges
• oversee indictment preparation and grand jury presentation
• interview witnesses and prepare discovery and trials
• litigate criminal cases
• assess punishment and restitution and conduct pleas
• review appeals and prepare briefs
• handle habeas corpus matters, asset forfeitures, and bond forfeitures
• prepare legal documents and attend hearings and trials
• maintain case records and confidentiality
• coordinate with victims, agencies, and law enforcement
• serve as an on-call prosecutor and respond to scenes as necessary.
