Direct Support Professional – Day Programs

The Direct Support Professional – Day Programs role is onsite in Maricopa, AZ, with compensation of $15 per hour. The Opportunity Tree provides individualized services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and promotes inclusion, advocacy, and opportunity. The role supports members in developing life skills, independence, and individual choice. It contributes to person-centered services by assisting with daily living, health and safety, activities, documentation, and communication with members, families, and staff.

What you'll do

• Supervise members’ health, safety, and security, including assistance with activities of daily living
• coordinate instruction and recreational activities according to Person-Centered Plans
• support interpersonal skills
• coordinate or provide transportation as specified in plans
• follow medication procedures and physicians’ orders
• document and monitor programs
• communicate progress and issues
• maintain records and a safe environment
• advocate for members.
