Aerospace Product Engineer

Job overview

The Aerospace Product Engineer role is onsite in Torrance, CA. Compensation is $120,000–$160,000 per year. The position is part of AMS Group’s AMS Operations business unit, which manufactures electrical, mechanical, and electronic assemblies. The engineer owns technical work across a product’s lifecycle, from proposal and technical data review through testing, production rollout, and production support. The role coordinates with procurement, suppliers, production personnel, and other teams to address technical risks and deliver compliant products.

What you'll do

• Review technical data packages, drawings, and specifications
• identify gaps, risks, and manufacturability concerns
• resolve obsolescence issues
• evaluate suppliers and serve as a technical point of contact
• prepare technical proposals and estimates
• develop build and test plans
• design test fixtures and production equipment
• build prototypes and work instructions
• train production personnel
• manage engineering documentation and change requests.
