The EMT provides emergency medical care and transports patients while following applicable laws, ambulance protocols, and the Ohio scope of practice. The role also maintains equipment, supplies, vehicles, records, and station readiness to support emergency response.

What you'll do

• Provide emergency medical care and basic and advanced life support within applicable protocols
• administer medications
• assess vital signs and control bleeding
• assist childbirth and immobilize fractures
• communicate with patients, families, hospitals, and emergency personnel
• transport patients
• document treatment
• test and maintain EMS equipment
• restock supplies and medications
• inspect and clean ambulances
• maintain station and grounds
• attend training to maintain proficiency and certification.
