The Nursing Assistant (NA) provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN), ensuring age-appropriate care and adherence to care plans.
What you'll do
- Serve as caregiver providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
- Provide age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of the resident as per care plan.
- Follow infection prevention and control policies and PPE use.
- Assist with basic health care needs including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, obtaining vital signs, and providing psychosocial support.
- Assist residents in transferring, repositioning, and walking.
- Provide range of motion and passive exercises.
- Complete tasks related to food preparation and dining.
- Assist residents with meals and snacks.
- Document resident interactions and outcomes.
- Communicate changing conditions to the charge nurse.
- Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs.
- Provide housekeeping and laundry services.
What we're looking for
- Education
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred.
- Experience
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required. Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
