What you'll do

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on generating-plant mechanical equipment
• operate and maintain heavy mechanical equipment
• diagnose failures and resolve operating or performance problems
• maintain, repair, and install rotating equipment including pumps, seals, turbines, generators, fans, bearings, and couplings
• support commissioning of major equipment
• read plans, drawings, and P&ID diagrams
• perform related piping, welding, machining, rigging, fabrication, and alignment tasks
• maintain boilers, heat-recovery equipment, piping, and lubrication systems
• keep equipment and work areas safe and clean
• lead employees as needed and inspect vehicles before use.
