What you'll do

• Evaluate patient needs and collaborate with physicians on prosthetic or orthotic services
• formulate device designs
• select materials and take cast measurements
• fit and align devices
• assess fit, function, and medical efficacy and make adjustments
• instruct patients in device use
• provide follow-up
• document clinical notes
• support referral relationships and practice management. Mentoring residents or newly certified clinicians may be part of the role.
