Medical Biller – DMEPOS Billing

Job overview

The Medical Biller role is onsite in Shreveport, LA, with compensation of $16–$18 per hour. Spire Healthcare Management is hiring for its billing team, with DMEPOS billing experience strongly preferred. The role supports accurate, timely claims submission and resolution of billing issues. It also helps maintain patient account records, coordinate equipment orders and authorizations, and communicate with patients, payers, and medical professionals.

What you'll do

• Prepare, review, and submit claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers
• follow up on unpaid or denied claims and research discrepancies
• verify insurance eligibility and benefits
• post payments, adjustments, and denials
• submit prior authorizations
• maintain patient account and billing records
• process equipment orders and drop shipments
• communicate with customers, families, payers, physicians, and internal teams
• provide equipment-use instructions
• follow HIPAA and payer billing rules
• identify and escalate billing trends
• support month-end reconciliation and reporting.

Why this role
