The role exists to diagnose and repair production equipment, restore machinery to reliable operation, and support safe, productive manufacturing. The mechanic troubleshoots mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, fabricates or repairs parts, and verifies equipment performance after repairs.

What you'll do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and test production equipment
• plan repairs with supervisors and peers
• dismantle machines and replace worn drive and hydraulic components
• realign and tune machine components
• repair air and hydraulic lines
• restart equipment and verify performance
• operate metalworking tools to make or repair parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools
• interpret blueprints and schematics
• maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• repair facility structures and fixtures.
