Oral Surgery Dental Assistant

The Oral Surgery Dental Assistant role is onsite in San Francisco, California. Compensation is $28–$38 per hour. The assistant supports oral surgery care by preparing treatment rooms and instruments, assisting the surgeon during procedures, monitoring patients, and helping maintain safe, sterile clinical operations. The role also supports patient education, imaging, records, and communication with referral providers.

What you'll do

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, equipment, and supplies
• assist during oral surgery procedures, including local and IV sedation
• support anesthesia and patient comfort
• record vital signs
• take X-rays, impressions, photos, and 3D CBCT scans as needed
• maintain patient records in DSN EMR
• sterilize instruments and follow infection-control protocols
• provide postoperative instructions
• coordinate communication with referral doctors and organize treatment plans.
