The Assistant Director of Nursing is an onsite, full-time position based in Saint Louis, MO. This role supports the Monarch Springs Wellness & Rehabilitation team in providing high-quality clinical care to residents. The role exists to support the Director of Nursing in overseeing daily nursing operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining high standards of resident care. The Assistant Director of Nursing provides clinical leadership, monitors quality indicators, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to achieve excellent clinical outcomes.

What you'll do

• Support 24/7 oversight of nursing services alongside the Director of Nursing
• Ensure resident care plans meet physician orders, regulatory standards, and facility policies
• Communicate policies, train staff, and monitor clinical practices
• Participate in admissions decisions and assess prospective residents when needed
• Attend daily and weekly leadership meetings
• Ensure high-quality, compassionate care
• Monitor key clinical quality indicators
• Collaborate with physicians, consultants, therapy, and community partners
• Oversee competency testing
• Lead infection control program
• Serve as acting Director of Nursing when needed.
