Prototype Vehicle Retrofit/Rework Technician

The Prototype Vehicle Retrofit/Rework Technician role is an onsite, full-time position in Blythewood, SC, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Compensation is not specified. Bertrandt technicians support prototype vehicle work at the Scout Motors facility. The technician modifies, repairs, and reworks prototype vehicles, diagnosing fitment, assembly, and quality concerns and documenting completed work. The role supports prototype builds and vehicle updates while following engineering direction and site safety requirements.

What you'll do

• Perform retrofit, rework, repair, and modification of prototype vehicles
• remove and reinstall interior and exterior components and trim
• diagnose and correct assembly, fitment, and quality concerns
• follow technical instructions, drawings, procedures, and engineering direction
• inspect completed work
• document issues and repairs
• use automotive tools and workshop equipment safely
• troubleshoot mechanical or electrical concerns
• support prototype builds and vehicle updates
• follow site safety and vehicle-handling requirements.
