Maintenance Assistant

Job overview

The Maintenance Assistant role is onsite in Tacoma, WA. Pay is $23–$25 per hour. The position maintains the physical facility and grounds at a Cascadia Healthcare facility.

What you'll do

• Perform routine building and equipment maintenance and repairs
• monitor contractor renovation and replacement projects
• maintain HVAC, refrigerators, boilers, washers, dryers, and other equipment under supervision
• manage small painting, carpentry, concrete, and masonry projects
• inspect and document fire control and sprinkler systems
• maintain facility safety logs
• coordinate and document fire drills
• inspect grounds, report maintenance needs, and perform landscaping tasks.

Why this role

One year of building maintenance experience and a valid driver’s license are required; six months of long-term care experience is preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
