This entry-level trade role identifies and marks buried utility lines so excavation crews can work safely and avoid damaging infrastructure. The locator uses electromagnetic locating tools, documents findings, and follows safety policies to support successful excavation projects.

What you'll do

• Use electromagnetic locators to find buried cables and pipes
• accurately mark utility line locations using the color code system
• maintain detailed reports
• follow safety policies
• travel to assigned outdoor locations.
