The Human Resources & Payroll Coordinator is an onsite role in Monterey, CA. Pay is $28.84–$36.17 per hour. Sierra Instruments designs and manufactures flow instruments used in industrial processes and other applications. The role exists to administer accurate, timely payroll and timekeeping for approximately 200 employees across multiple California locations and affiliated entities, while providing transactional human resources support. It helps maintain reliable employee records, respond to payroll questions, and support compliance and reporting needs.

What you'll do

• Process biweekly payroll and administer timekeeping
• review payroll inputs, employee changes, deductions, benefits, leave balances, and garnishments
• process approved compensation changes
• conduct payroll audits and reconciliations
• maintain payroll records and prepare reports
• coordinate final pay and special transactions
• respond to employee payroll questions
• review timecards and resolve timekeeping issues
• support onboarding, screenings, orientation, HRIS data, personnel files, audits, and employee inquiries
• escalate issues outside established procedures.
