What you'll do
- Assigns staff according to policies and ensures equal distribution of duties.
- Supports teamwork and encourages proper resident care.
- Completes rounds to assess residents and reports concerns.
- Receives shift reports and communicates areas of concern.
- Manages and disciplines staff as necessary.
- Promotes responsibility, accountability, and autonomy.
- Delegates responsibilities to ensure appropriate resident care.
- Develops staff goals and encourages professionalism.
- Serves as a resource for nursing personnel.
- Directs and manages direct patient care using sound nursing judgment.
- Documents and communicates plans professionally.
- Reviews and revises care plans with Charge Nurses.
- Identifies necessary nursing interventions.
- Implements and documents resident/family teaching.
- Demonstrates clinical competence.
- Works with Charge Nurses to maintain competencies.
- Maintains knowledge of emergency procedures and safety issues.
- Completes monthly QAPI and monitors pharmacy recommendations.
What we're looking for
- Education
- Current RN license in the state you will be working
- Experience
- Current RN license in the state you will be working. Two years of long-term care supervisory experience preferred. Three to five years of long-term care experience or similar nursing experience. Excellent communication skills. Ability to manage time and organize daily schedule. Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time. Ability to lift heavy objects. Ability to transfer and move residents. Manual dexterity, coordination and skillful use of hands. Ability to perform necessary documentation. Visual acuity. Must be able to manage a diversity of activities.
