Electrical Engineering Intern

Job overview

The Electrical Engineering Intern role is onsite in Saint Louis, MO, with work hours Monday through Friday between 8 AM and 5 PM. Summer internships are 35–40 hours per week; fall and spring internships are 16–24 hours per week around course schedules. Pay is $18–$20 per hour. The intern supports Solutions AEC’s design-build engineering projects and virtual design and construction capabilities. The intern assists senior engineers and designers with electrical system design, calculations, drawings, and construction documentation. The role contributes to coordinated commercial and industrial building designs while developing practical experience with Revit, 3D modeling, building codes, and energy-efficient design.

What you'll do

• Assist with electrical system design and layout for commercial and industrial projects
• perform calculations for power distribution, lighting, and other building systems
• use Revit and other design software to produce electrical drawings
• support VDC 3D modeling and coordination
• assist with technical reports, research, and equipment specifications
• collaborate with mechanical, plumbing, and other engineering disciplines.
