What you'll do

• Review patient records
• interview patients and document complaints and vital signs in the EMR
• organize patient flow and supplies
• triage patients using protocols and provider consultation
• assist or initiate BLS measures
• support specimen collection and handling
• communicate test results and instructions
• educate patients and caregivers
• carry out provider orders
• prepare patients and equipment and assist with procedures
• assess wounds
• start and monitor IVs as directed
• manage supplies and medication-related tasks
• support referrals, care plans, and patient communication
• maintain confidentiality and follow safety and infection-control practices.
