Fire Engineer, Fire Alarm and Security Systems

The Fire Engineer role is based in the Charlotte, NC office or the Raleigh, NC office. Compensation is not specified. MSS Fire and Security designs and supports fire alarm, security, and CCTV systems for customers. The engineer develops system designs and documentation and supports installation and commissioning. The role contributes to compliant, quality-controlled fire detection and security systems through design, calculations, field assessment, and coordination with operations.

What you'll do

• Create fire alarm shop drawings, layouts, equipment selections, calculations, narratives, and specifications
• design fire alarm, security, and CCTV systems
• prepare submittals and hand off projects to operations
• participate in site walk-throughs as needed
• support field installation and commissioning
• coordinate with pre-construction.
