Special Education Teacher

The Special Education Teacher role is onsite in Lombard, IL, at Pathways Academy, a therapeutic day school serving nonverbal or minimally verbal students from PreK through second grade. Compensation is not specified. The program provides academic and social-emotional instruction through a therapeutic approach. The teacher develops individualized instruction and a structured classroom environment to support students’ academic, social-emotional, and behavioral growth. What you'll do

• Plan and deliver specialized instruction aligned with student IEP goals
• develop and implement annual IEPs
• collect and analyze progress data
• coordinate special education services
• collaborate with multidisciplinary providers and families
• maintain student and compliance documentation
• implement behavior supports and contribute to FBAs and BIPs
• supervise educational assistants and paraprofessionals as assigned.
