Buyer/Planner

What you'll do

• Research and evaluate suppliers on price, quality, service, availability, and reliability
• manage open orders, specifications, quality issues, and invoice discrepancies
• monitor subcontract cost, schedule, and scope
• process approved purchase requisitions and material requirements in the ERP system
• follow up on deliveries and expedite as needed
• negotiate and administer supplier contracts
• source suppliers for new program launches
• maintain cost information
• replenish inventory using MRP reports
• resolve assigned quality-control issues
• maintain order correspondence files
• coordinate work-order movement with manufacturing departments.
