Mitigation Technician

Job overview

The Mitigation Technician role is onsite in Big Rapids, MI, responding to property damage emergencies. Compensation is $18–$22 per hour. The role supports Servpro’s restoration work for residential and commercial properties affected by water, fire, mold, and storms. The technician performs hands-on mitigation and cleanup, sets and monitors restoration equipment, and documents job progress. This work helps customers recover from property damage while supporting quality results and customer service.

What you'll do

• Assist with water, fire, mold, and storm mitigation and cleanup
• set up, monitor, and remove restoration equipment
• perform demolition as needed
• clean and sanitize affected areas according to IICRC and Servpro standards
• maintain the jobsite, vehicle, and equipment
• document job progress, moisture readings, and customer communications
• communicate with customers, teammates, and project managers
• follow safety procedures and use required protective equipment
• support the Crew Chief and Project Manager with job execution.
