Cook — Assisted Living Facility

Job overview

The Cook role is onsite in Framingham, MA, with pay of $23–$24 per hour based on skills and experience. Carmel Terrace is a faith-based nonprofit assisted living community described as a home for its residents.

What you'll do

• Prepare food using standardized recipes and special diet orders
• supervise kitchen staff
• meet meal and snack service schedules
• ensure food is prepared, cooled, and stored according to applicable guidelines
• set up the steam table and trayline
• check outgoing meals for quantity, type, and quality
• care for dietary equipment
• and maintain health and sanitation compliance. The varied schedule includes 6 a.m.–2 p.m. and 10 a.m.–6 p.m. shifts, plus every other weekend.
